Executive Director, Coalition of Oregon School Administators

 Executive Director of COSA

The Coalition of Oregon School Administrators (COSA) is currently accepting applications for the fourth Executive Director in its history.  Founded in 1974 to give Oregon’s education leaders a united voice in helping to shape public policy, advocate for schools, and speak on behalf of students. COSA plays a preeminent role in our state’s education landscape, respected throughout the state by administrators, legislators, school board members, and other educational leaders.

In recent years COSA has evolved to be the foremost educational advocacy organization in Oregon, and the go-to professional development organization for school leaders. With an exceptionally talented staff, COSA has had a remarkable impact on schools in our state, and therefore on our most precious resource: our students.

We are looking for an equity-focused leader who understands school leadership, state governance, and organizational effectiveness — and who leads with courage and humility, with relationships at the forefront.  Whether you are already an Oregonian, or wish to call Oregon your home, we invite you to consider this extraordinary opportunity. Our current Executive Director Craig Hawkins, who has served with distinction for more than twelve years, will pass the baton onto our next Executive Director on July 1, 2024.

Salary is anticipated to be between 210k – 225k. Confidential inquiries are welcome at any time to Hank Harris at Human Capital Enterprises.  Application deadline is Friday, December 8, at 1:00pm Pacific Time.
