Hank Harris
Founder & President
Hank Harris, Founder and President of Human Capital Enterprises, is a seasoned Chief Human Resources Officer and Consultant. His passion is building ethical and successful organizations by finding the most talented individuals with the greatest track record of commitment and integrity.
Formerly serving as Executive Director of Human Resources for the school districts of Portland, Oregon and Bellingham, Washington, Hank also served on the national Governing Board of the American Association of School Personnel Administrators. With a previous background as a teacher and middle school principal, Hank now supports clients nationwide. Hank is an avid traveller, piano player, and Seahawks fan, and is passionate about ensuring that every employee, every board member, and every stakeholder is well-served by an outstanding servant leader.

Erin Prince
Consultant | Kitsap Peninsula, WA
Erin is a seasoned school district leader who has served as Superintendent of Corvallis, Oregon and Central Kitsap, Washington and also spent time as Vice President at the highly regarded Chalkboard Project. She is known throughout the Pacific Northwest as a thought leader in education reform and you also don’t want to mess with her on the pickleball court. Erin’s PhD in Education was earned at Oregon State University.

Robyn Bean
Consultant | Portland, OR & Scottsdale, AZ
Robyn is a seasoned Human Resources executive, who served as Chief Human Resources Officer for the Northwest Regional Education Service District in Oregon for most of the last decade. Originally trained as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Robyn has an MS from the University of Washington, and holds a Professional Human Capital Leadership in Education (pHCLE) certification. She’s a force to be reckoned with on the greens as well as with a sewing machine.

Hector Gomez Zurita
Bilingual Consultant | Chicago, IL
Hector brings corporate sector experience to our team. Chicago-based, Hector has spent the last 15 years in strategy and operations for United Airlines, Emirates Airlines, and Groupon. He has a Bachelors Degree in Management and International Business from Universidad Panamericana in Mexico City, and is a voracious world traveler. We’ve tested him and there’s not a single country in the world of which he can’t immediately name the capital.

Kathleen Rodden-Nord
Consultant | Eugene, OR
Kathleen has served as Superintendent of the Junction City School District outside of Eugene, Oregon since 2003. With a PhD in School Psychology from the University of Oregon, Kathleen’s tenure and success as a school leader is a remarkable testament to her many leadership talents. Kathleen is an avid painter, traveler, gourmet chef, hiker, and very proud grandma.

Steve Webb
Consultant | Vancouver, WA
Steve served as superintendent of Vancouver (Wash.) Public Schools from 2008-2021. He has a distinguished 36-year career in education in Washington and California and was named the 2016 Washington State Superintendent of the Year. He was also a finalist for AASA’s 2016 National Superintendent of the Year and a recipient of AASA’s Dr. Effie H. Jones Humanitarian Award (2020) for his commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. Steve is passionate about system-focused DEI, and lives it as the father of a bi-racial adoptive family.

Hector Garcia
Consultant | Chicago, IL
Dr. Héctor García has been a Superintendent for over ten years leading diverse school districts. Most recently, Dr. Garcia has been the Superintendent of District 181 in Hinsdale, Illinois. Since he arrived in 2018, the K-8 school district has posted numerous local, state, and national awards, including three consecutive Blue Ribbon Awards.
Dr. García received his Doctorate in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from Loyola University in Chicago. He resides just outside of Chicago with his wife Tricia, and four children: Katie, Colleen, Aidan, and Erin.

Joy Ross
Consultant |Seattle, WA
Joy serves as the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources of the Lake Washington School District. With an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from Loyola University of Chicago, Joy’s 34 years as a successful school leader expands robust opportunities that Joy describes as being “bucket filling.” Joy serves as an adjunct professor for Loyola University in the Ed.D. program in DEI strategies in the workplace. Joy loves music, wine and considers herself it be a foodie and loves to combine of all these things into one experience.

Barbara Young
Consultant | Bellingham, WA
Barbara served as the Superintendent of both the Mill Valley and Sonoma Valley Unified School Districts in Caifornia before moving to Washington state. She now serves a coach and consultants to school boards and school superintendents throughout the West. Barbara is a UCLA graduate and earned her masters’ degree at CSU-Hayward. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her unbelievably adorable dog, Tucker.

Ben Harris
Consultant | Northampton, MA
Ben is an editor, farmer and musician based in Western Massachusetts with nearly two decades experience in digital media production and mass communications. He holds a master’s degree from the London School of Economics and an undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University. He currently edits an educational website where he is responsible for creating online education tools.
